Grand National Tips
http://ping.fm/tS8mr
Grand National Tips back in 2009 the rank outsider Mon Mome came in and threw the rule book out of the window but there are some simple rules to follow which can guide you onto a good horse when it comes to placing your Grand National bet.

Weight is an important factor, horses that weight over 11 stone are unlikely to complete the race and the only winner of the Grand National who weighed over this was Red Rum at 11st 3lbs. Go for a horse that weights between 10st 7lbs and 11st for your best chances.

The horse needs to have run, completed and preferably been placed in at least one of its last three races. This 3 mile steeplechase is tough going on any horse but one who has not even complete any of its last three races is unlikely to finish here.

Your horse needs to be at least nine years old; in 2008 and 2009 this was the perfect age as all the top three winners were aged nine. Ten is also a good age but never go below nine as they are too young and a seven year old is highly unlikely to even finish the race.

Keep the bets at home so to speak, pick a British or Irish horse, they are more likely to complete the race than a foreign bred one. The training for this type of race is gruelling and British and Irish horses are trained to deal with it whereas foreign horses are not.

Your horse should weigh no more than 11 stone, be nine to ten years or age and be of British or Irish decent, it also needs to have completed and preferably been placed in at least one of its last races. Although a rank outsider like the French Bred horse Mon Mome can come in to win from time to time it is unlikely to become the norm.

Cheltenham Tips
http://ping.fm/Eerrk
Cheltenham Tips act as a useful guide to anyone placing a bet on one or more of the 27 races at the Cheltenham Festival.

Getting Cheltenham tips means that you can either choose to follow the selection advised or instead compare with your thoughts on each race before deciding to place a bet on the Festival with your favourite bookmaker.

There are endless possibilities when it comes to betting on the Cheltenham Festival and there are many novelty bets available such as how many pints of Guinness will be drunk over the four days, while there are also odds on how many bottles of champagne will be consumed.

Champagne consumption tends to correlate with backing winners at the Festival and there are 27 chances to find the horses that could make it a successful week. One of the best Cheltenham tips is to place several bets each-way which means that you will get a return if your horses finish second, third or fourth – depending on the number of runners in each race.

Sometimes, bookmakers will offer enhanced each-way terms on the Cheltenham Festival which means you can get money for five and even six places on races with big fields where it is traditionally difficult to back the winner.

The Cheltenham Festival is a massive betting event thanks to the fact that many betting customers place bets on the four-day meeting well in advance while the entire National Hunt calendar in the UK and Ireland is geared towards the Cheltenham meeting in March.

Cheltenham Festival tips could include a recommendation on which jockey will ride the most winning horses, while there is also the chance to bet on Top Trainer at each Cheltenham Festival. Trainers such as Paul Nicholls, Nicky Henderson and Willie Mullins will battle it out for that honour.

Snooker News
http://ping.fm/X5U7M
http://ping.fm/XgItf The Ulsterman claimed the £75,000 first prize in China after beating Stephen Lee 10-1 in the final, along with an abundance of ranking points that have propelled him five places to seventh place.

Mark Selby remains at the top of the list aftern his run to the Semi-Finals, followed by Mark Williams, despite the Welshman's indifferent form this season.

Ronnie O'Sullivan missed the event through illness, but good a win at the German Masters and a good run in the Welsh Open means he occupies 15th place, as he continues to hover dangerously above the cut-off line.

World champion John Higgins began the season in second spot, but a poor run in major events since winning the worlds a year ago has seen him slip to fifth.

He has reached just one major ranking Quarter-Final this season and will be out to set the record straight as he prepares to defend his Crucible crown following the China Open.

Shaun Murphy's fine run of form is reflected in his fourth place ranking; the Magician has been an ever present in the backend of major televised events and reached the Masters final, as well as claiming the Brazil Masters Invitational title.

World Open runner-up Stephen Lee leaps seven places to 11th, while Martin Gould's rise continues as he reaches 12th.

Seven-time world champion Stephen Hendry remains on the outskirts of the world's elite top 16 in 19th; The Scot has shown a bout of resurgence over the past few months and will be desperate to appear at the Crucible in April.

Further down, Tom Ford continues to make an impression; he won a PTC event earlier in the season and has risen eight places to 26.

Former world champion Peter Ebdon continues to plummet; he began the season in 13th, but a series of early exits and failure to reach the big events has seen him tumble to 28th.

Legends Steve Davis and Jimmy White both climb the order of merit, with Davis up two places and people's champion White up six.

The top 16 players automatically earn a place in major ranking events, while players from 17th position downwards must come through the qualifiers, with players playing one, two or three qualifying matches depending on their ranking.
Boxing News
http://boxing-news.com
http://boxing-news.com First of all, let’s not lose sight of what should be the main story today: Dereck Chisora put on an outstanding challenge for Vitali Klitschko’s WBC heavyweight title in Germany on Saturday night.

Not since his six rounds of mayhem with Lennox Lewis nine years ago has Big Vitali been so thoroughly tested, and by a man ranked only 15th by the WBC going into the fight (and will surely place much higher in the next rankings.)

Chisora set a ferocious pace right from the opening bell, bulling Klitschko around the ring, scoring with clubbing body shots and just missing with looping lefts and rights to the head. He may have been out-boxed and outpunched for large portions of the fight, but he was always competitive, and always looked capable of landing the big shot that would turn the fight around.

Chisora had his successes, and from the fifth to the ninth looked to be taking control of the fight. Too often however, he would only fight for half of a round, starting impressively and then letting the vastly more experienced Ukrainian take the play away from him and finish the round with a flourish.

Neither man was visibly hurt, although Chisora was spitting blood in his corner throughout the latter rounds, while the Brit’s body assault looked to be draining Klitschko near the finish. Indeed, the champion looked a shadow of his former self at the end, and embraced his brother Wladimir at the bell in a manner that was more relief than elation.

The score cards were unanimously one-sided, Klitschko winning eight rounds on each of them. Had the fight been in the US where judges like aggression and had Klitschko been a mere contender rather than a legendary champion, the result may have been different.

http://ping.fm/lpgy1 Miami masters live Get ready for the Miami Masters, as they are fast approaching and world class tennis players are getting themselves geared up for another exciting show down on the hard courts of the Crandon Park Tennis Centre in Key Biscayne.

In 2012 you can watch the Miami Masters live online from the 19th - 26th March. Free with bet365.

The Miami Masters might not quite have reached Grand Slam status, but Tennis fans around the world look forward to this ATP Tour and WTA Premier event every year. This hard court tournament held only a week after the ATP Indian Wells Masters is an ideal opportunity for players like Roger Federer to pick up some valuable ranking points before the Tour moves on to clay ahead of the French Open.

In 2011 it was Novak Djokovic who lifted the trophy after winning the third set tie-breaker against Spanish superstar Rafael Nadal, but unless he can repeat an inspiring season like last year, he will have trouble securing another spot in the final of this prestigious event. Roger Federer is keen to show that he is still in full fighting form and Rafael Nadal will no doubt ignore any niggling injuries to set the result of last year's Miami Masters final straight.

After winning against Maria Sharapova 6-1, 6-4 last year, defending champion Victoria Azaranka is expected to put on another great performance against five-time winner Serena Williams and former number one Kim Clijsters from Belgium. The organisers also announced the participation of Australian hopeful Samantha Stosur, who suffered an early defeat in the Australian Open 2012, along with runner up Sharapova, Danish star Caroline Wozniacki and top players Na Li and Petra Kvitova.

If you can't make it to Miami to see some of these sport's greats in action or have the right Sports TV package to view the matches on TV, then you will be happy to learn that our expert tennis journalists will be there to bring you match previews, latest news and even free links to official broadcasters where you can watch all the action streamed live online.

http://ping.fm/FQ5w3 During the Cheltenham Festival, there will be 27 horses that are first past the post and the key is to find the winning Cheltenham tips that will make it a profitable week!

There are some Cheltenham Festival tips on a general scale that can increase your chances of success during that golden week in March when thousands of racing fans descend on Prestbury Park to enjoy the best horse racing that National Hunt has to offer.

The first Cheltenham tip is to have a plan when it comes to betting. Are you going to bet on every single race? If you want to make each of the 27 races between Tuesday and Friday more exciting with a bet, then you should consider your unit stake for each race.

The next of our Cheltenham Festival tips is to decide whether you are backing a horse on the nose or each-way. The latter option effectively means you are having a bet on a runner to both win and place, something which is a pretty good idea when it comes to the Cheltenham races with big fields.
Cheltenham Festival
http://ping.fm/63MJD
http://ping.fm/crqvz The 2012 Cheltenham Festival will be bigger and better than ever, with increased prize money across the board and more people attending the four days in Gloucestershire. It is a fascinating spectacle whether you are someone who regularly attends racecourses or somebody who simply wants to watch the most exciting week that racing has to offer.

There will be some big bets and lots of attention placed on the four showcase races at the Cheltenham Festival, starting with the Champion Hurdle on the Tuesday where Hurricane Fly is scheduled to defend his crown after the Irish raider ran a blinder twelve months ago to secure victory in the same race.

This time around, Hurricane Fly will have to compete against 2010 winner Binocular, while Grandouet has also been well supported in the Champion Hurdle antepost market and Zarkandar is also likely to be a single figure price on the day of the race.

Meanwhile, the Champion Chase is the biggest Wednesday race of the Cheltenham Festival and it looks set to be another showdown between Sizing Europe and Big Zeb, with the two horses heading the betting market at the time of writing.

Cheltenham Festival tips such as a staking plan, betting each-way and ensuring you choose a bookmaker offering enhanced place terms or a promotion on a particular race will help increase your chance of success when it comes to the 2012 Cheltenham Festival.
